We’re looking for some inspiring speakers to join our Speakers network!

Come along and brush up your skills so you can reach out to campaigning organisations, political parties, and community groups. Public speaking makes a massive contribution to building resistance against the arms trade- as a speaker, you can inspire those you meet to take action and create vital change.

This training will include:

  • Understanding key arms trade issues (including the DSEI arms fair, export promotion, and defence diversification)
  • Preparing a talk: identifying the audience needs, choosing key themes, structuring the talk, handling Q&As
  • Making an effective call to action
  • Practicing your skills in a safe setting.

We hope you will take this opportunity to work with some great people to develop your skills to get the word out about the arms trade, and what is being done to stop it!

This training will take place at a wheelchair accessible venue. For more access information see the venue website.

A light vegetarian lunch will be provided on the day.

Please get in touch on outreach@caat.org.uk to discuss any accessibility requirements you might have.
